Is a small family business from Ecuador. Under these names, we have been offering various handmade products of the best quality worldwide since 1998.

Arte Andino hat sehr engen, geschäftlichen Kontakt zu den Hutflechtern in Ecuador, und deshalb die Möglichkeit “Faire Preise”, völlig unabhängig von den Weltmarktpreisen, zu bezahlen. Dadurch wird die Existenz dieser Familien weitgehend gesichert und die Lebensqualität verbessert.

In addition to selling our products, we are involved in the social sector, which is why part of the profit from the sale of a Montecristi hat is delivered directly to the hat manufacturer in Ecuador.
The price of our products is justified by the fact that we attach great importance to the high quality of our Panama hats and we want to ensure that hat weavers abroad receive the best possible payment.
We visit the hat weavers on site as often as possible to ensure that the quality and working conditions are maintained. At one Panama hat They employ approximately four to five specialists until final completion and shipping to Germany, which makes production very expensive.
Once it arrives in Germany, the finished Panama hat can be provided with individual hatbands as desired.

I know the hat weavers we work with from Pile personally and on my travels to my homeland, I visit them and hand them a bonus as a profit share. In this way, I achieve that the quality of life of the hat weavers improves. None of this would be possible without the support of my family in Germany as well as in Ecuador.
For us, this is fair trade.
