Cancellation policy for consumers

Consumers have a right of withdrawal in accordance with the following instructions. A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that can predominantly be attributed neither to his commercial nor to his self-employed professional activity (§ 13 BGB).

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period is fourteen days from the day on which you or a third party you have designated, who is not the carrier, have taken possession of the last goods in the order.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must provide us with a clear explanation (e.g. B. inform a letter or email sent by post) of your decision to withdraw from this contract.

You can use the attached sample cancellation form, but it is not mandatory (see /form-for-cancellation-instructions/).

To comply with the cancellation period, it is sufficient that you send the notification of the exercise of the right of cancellation before the expiry of the cancellation period.

Consequences of the revocation

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse you all payments we have received from you, including the delivery costs (with the exception of the additional costs resulting from the fact that you have chosen a type of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notification of your withdrawal from this contract.

For this repayment, we will use the same payment method that you used in the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees for this repayment.

We may refuse to refund until we have received the goods back or until you have provided evidence that you have returned the goods, whichever is the earlier.

You must return the goods to us immediately and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which you inform us of the cancellation of this contract.

They bear the immediate costs of returning the goods.

They only have to pay for any loss in value of the goods if this loss of value is due to handling of them that is not necessary to check the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Exceptions to the right of withdrawal (§ 312g para. 2 BGB)

The right of withdrawal does NOT apply to the following contracts:

a) Contracts for the supply of goods that are not prefabricated and for whose manufacture an individual selection or determination by the consumer is decisive or which are clearly tailored to the personal needs of the consumer.

Note: Custom-made Montecristi: In particular, this exception includes Montecristi hats individually made at the customer's request (e.g. B. with customer-specific dimensions, special materials or special braiding density). These are individually handcrafted in Ecuador after orders are received; the production time is 8-16 weeks. Before ordering such custom-made products, you will be expressly informed of the loss of your right of withdrawal.

b) Contracts for the supply of sealed goods which, for reasons of health protection or hygiene, are not suitable for return if the seal has been removed after delivery (not relevant to us).
