Wie pflege ich meinen Panamahut?

Lagern Sie ihn auf einem Hutständer oder kopfüber. Bei leichten Verschmutzungen mit einem leicht feuchten Tuch abtupfen. Nicht in der Waschmaschine waschen. Für Formerhaltung: bei Raumtemperatur trocknen.

Cuenca vs. Montecristi — what is the difference?

Both are genuine Panama hats from Ecuador — the difference lies in the region and the weaving technique. Cuenca hats are made by several braiders (more efficient production), while Montecristi hats always come from a single master braider. The Tuis Extra Fino is therefore the best Cuenca hat in our range Ideal for daily wear.

Store in a cool, dry place. Cleaning with a slightly damp, white cloth. Allow to air dry if in contact with rain — never use a hairdryer or heater.

Measure correctly!

Place the tape measure horizontally around your head at forehead level (above your eyebrows). The resulting measurement in centimeters represents your hat size. Please use this measurement in centimeters to order your hat from us. If you don't have a tape measure, you can also wrap a piece of string around your head and then measure it with a ruler.

What is important is:

In Germany, the head width corresponds to the height.

In America and England, measurements are taken in inches.
